Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream

Being a Japanese language student and professing to be pretty clued up on all things Japanese, this is something I hadn’t encountered before today’s visit to Space NK in Manchester.

Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream is the #1 selling medicated, vitamin-enriched skin care cream in Japan. Invented by Japanese pharmacist Yoshikiyo Nowatori in 1957, Yu-Be is a glycerin-based moisturizing cream enriched with Vitamin E, Vitamin B2 and Camphor. It’s the uniquely high Glycerin content and absorbability, achieved through a special manufacturing process in Japan, which makes Yu-Be so effective and truly sets it apart from other creams.

I have to say that I can understand why this cream has earnt its respected name. The thick orange cream sinks into the skin instantly leaving it tingling and protected, absolutely amazing. The mentholated smell from the camphor is uplifting and invigorating and soothes any irritation, the smell disappears very quickly however, so don’t worry.

The product is humectant rich. A humectant, for anyone that hasn’t read any of my other posts because I do talk about them rather a lot, is an agent that binds water to the skin. This is important as without humectants, even the richest moisturiser won’t absorb into the skin and can block follicles and pores. Science lesson over.

You can use this cream absolutely anywhere, eyes, hands, lips, scars, burns, peeling, any skin that needs soothing needs this cream. In only a short amount of time, a matter of hours in fact, the spot of eczema I get on the palm side of my thumb has been calmed and its stopped irritating the crap out of me! Try it!
