Biotherm Homme High Recharge Eye Shot

Part of Biotherm’s Recharge family, the eye shot is a powerful member of the range. More than a standard eye gel, and ever more than a standard ‘rollerball’, this product is made of a lightweight absorbent gel dispensed through a whopping 3 rollerballs.

Firstly, at the end of a long day, its become over the last week, the first thing I reach for as it immediately relaxes my entire eye area.  It’s ridiculously cooling, fast acting and absorbing.

My eyes really do look instantly brighter using this product and it has helped with my dark circles that build up doing a full time 5 day a week degree course, working for Clinique when I’m not studying, slaving away over a hot computer reviewing, writing and researching when I probably should be sleeping. So you can imagine, these are the bag of bags.

The magical ingredients are the eye serum’s favourite, it’s a natural anti-inflammatory and smooths skin. Sericoside is a natural extract that increases circulation around the eye area and finally manganese helps protect the skin and is a valuable anti-oxidant.

This is definitely worth a try and I have to say, popping it into the fridge for storage gives the icy coolness of the product a big kick, it feels amazing.

Biotherm Homme Force Supreme

Biotherm Homme Force Supreme Re-Builder.

The first product I was lucky enough to try from Biotherm Homme’s anti-ageing range is the Re-Builder, a facial roller-ball massager that releases an powerful oil free serum. The serum contains caffeine to reduce bags and calm the skin and soy protein to visibly tone and tighten the skin. There’s also Kreatilane, which supposedly revitalises cell activity and reinforces the foundational tissue of the face.

So now for a closer inspection away from the spiel to the ingredients list. It confirms the information in the leaflet, with caffeine, soya, as well as cicer seed extract and castor oil to moisturise. The product does contain a little fragrance but it’s pleasant and not at all overwhelming, and didn’t cause me any sensitivity.

So the test: following the instructions, I massaged over the chin, the cheeks to the temples, then on the expression lines around the nose and mouth and finally over the eye. Everything felt immediately cooled and the skin felt fresh. The product sank in very nicely without the need to massage in as the box suggests you might want to. Obviously being 20, I’m not doing too badly with any lines and wrinkles so far, but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! Overall a very pleasant easy to use product that leaves my skin comforted and hydrated!

Biotherm Homme Force Supreme Eye.

A beautiful eye cream with Pro-Xylane and cedar bud ‘to help restore a denser, smoother and firmer looking eye area’, resulting in visibly faded lines and wrinkles, bags and dark circles.

Ingredients wise, it’s pretty packed, tocopheryl acetate provides vitamin e, as well as silica providing the light diffusion and giving those visibly reduced wrinkles effects. Finally it’s fragrance free! Yay! As all good quality eye creams are, as fragrance can cause irritation more so around the eye area than anywhere else.

The eye cream is wonderfully rich, but sinks in incredibly quickly with no real residue. The eye area feels immediately comforted and feels even more amazing after using the aforementioned rollerball. After all day use, my eyes still feel well hydrated when often they can begin to feel a little dehydrated. This product is definitely worth a try!

Clinique Anti-Fatigue Cooling Eye Gel

Well when I found out about this originally, I thought finally! A new addition to the Skin Supplies for Men range.

I’ve been a massive user of the All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massage since it’s original launch some years back. Now as a massive computer nerd and student, I stay up rather late, leaving me with pretty dark circles, also I am very white, reeeaaally white, almost see-through; therefore, any discolouration on my face shows up very quickly, maybe you can sympathise?

So, very similarly to the All About Eyes Serum rollerball, the Anti-Fatigue Cooling Eye Gel really helps to reduce darkness and puffiness. I use it underneath my All About Eyes Rich eye cream as my eyes do get really dry and very sensitive, anything with fragrance sends me swelling up like a balloon. So just tip the rollerball up and massage in circular motions from the middle of the eye – outwards. I really think that after a couple of days use, I can see a difference in my darkness and redness. The men’s version, as well as being more suited to men’s skin (our’s is around 25% thicker than that of women), dries much quicker which is very helpful for our hi-octane lifestyles, racing all our cars and playing all those manly sports (sat at my computer, mainly).

I really recommend it, it’s something new to come to the men’s market and it definitely makes a difference to my tired eyes, however if you have a slight dryness as well, make sure you layer with an eye cream.

It’s available at RRP £20.00 at all Clinique counters and online.
